Heat Resistant Conveyor Belt Description
Heat resistant conveyor belt is selected when hot material would damage a standard rubber cover. Cement plants, steel plants, foundries, coke plants and sintering lines often require special heat-resistant compounds to slow aging, cracking and hardening.
The most important selection point is actual material temperature at the point where it contacts the belt. Intermittent peak temperature, continuous temperature, lump size, belt speed, ventilation and transfer distance all influence the required grade.
For better service life, the belt should also be matched with correct loading-zone design, impact support, pulley diameter and belt cleaner material. Overly aggressive cleaners or poor impact beds can damage heat-aged covers faster.
