Cold Resistant Conveyor Belt Description
Cold resistant conveyor belt is used when low ambient temperature makes ordinary rubber hard and less flexible. This can increase power demand, reduce troughing performance and raise the risk of cracking when the belt bends around pulleys.
Outdoor mining conveyors, port conveyors, coal yards, aggregate stockyards and power plant material handling systems can require cold-resistant covers in winter regions. The belt must still meet normal requirements for strength, abrasion resistance and splice reliability.
For accurate selection, buyers should provide the lowest expected ambient temperature, whether the conveyor starts under load, material type, belt speed, pulley diameter and existing belt specification. This helps match the rubber compound to real operating conditions rather than using a generic cold label.
