Chevron Conveyor Belt Description
Chevron conveyor belt is selected when a flat belt cannot carry material at the required incline angle. The molded V, open-V, closed-V or multi-pattern profile increases friction between the material and belt surface, reducing rollback.
The profile height should be chosen carefully. A profile that is too low may not hold material; a profile that is too high can make cleaning more difficult and may reduce conveying efficiency for some fine materials. Material size, moisture and angle all matter.
Chevron belts need compatible belt cleaners and pulleys. Standard straight-blade cleaners may not work well on high-profile belts, so the page should encourage buyers to share the conveyor layout and cleaning requirement during inquiry.
